Micheal Mosley, BBC presenter and British medical journalist, was found dead on Greek Island at the age of 67.
According to Variety, the TV doctor was discovered lifeless on a beach in Agia Marina by Greek officials on Sunday, June 9, following a four-day search after he disappeared on the Island of Symi on Wednesday afternoon.
In a statement to BBC, his wife, Dr Clare Bailey, expressed, "It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband."
"We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together," she added.
"We’re taking comfort in the fact that he so nearly made it. He did an incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen by the extensive search team," the mourning wife explained.
Mosley has appeared on several BBC programs, including Blood and Guts: A History of Surgery; Eat, Fast and Live Longer; Medical Mavericks and Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.
He hosted BBC’s Just One Day podcast as well as had a column in the Daily Mail.
Mosley also boasted an Emmy nomination under his belt. He was nominated in 2002 for The Human Face, a four-part series that explores the science behind facial beauty and expression.
