Sean “Diddy” Combs has finally seemed to have caught a break.
Amid his ongoing sexual assault lawsuits – which began surfacing last year – the disgraced rapper and producer was able to bag a victory against his most recent accuser, who had been wanting to remain anonymous in court.
However, upon Combs’ insistence, the woman who has been going under the pseudonym Jane Doe has now been ordered by court to reveal her identity.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, the judge ruled that Jane Doe did not have “more specific support” to maintain her anonymity.
The case refers to the fourth and most recent lawsuit filed against the music mogul on December 6, in which Jane Doe claimed that Combs and two other men – Combs’ longtime right hand Harve Pierre and another unnamed man – gang-raped her in New York in 2003 when she was a 17-year-old highschool student.
Combs initially requested that the court shut down Jane Doe’s request to remain anonymous.
Meanwhile, Jane Doe argued that the music mogul only wants her name out there so he can “publicly malign her because she is the victim of a completely separate set of wrongdoings that occurred nearly two decades after the events underlying to this action.”
However, the court ultimately ruled in Combs’ favour.
