Oath-taking ceremony for student council held

The Millennium University College (TMUC) organised an oath taking ceremony for student council 2016 in an effort to regularizing the student body and to encourage students to become more responsible pupil and citizen at TMUC, H-11/4, says a press release. 

Anna Faisal, the executive director of Roots Millennium Schools (RMS) graced the occasion as a chief guest. She administered the oath and joined the TMUC Dean of Academics Safia Farooqi in distributing badges and sashes to the new members of the council which the latter received with immense pride and diligence.

TMUC students vowed under oath that they would faithfully execute their duties as a member of the student council and devote themselves to the serious pursuit of knowledge and truth, in order to become a contributing member of the society. This was followed by award of certificates to students who had performed exemplary roles in events and activities organised at TMUC.

Addressing the student council on the occasion Anna Faisal emphasized on the need for the students to be responsible citizens and assume their leadership role to make a revolutionary change in Pakistan. She appreciated the students while also commending the TMUC leadership for providing the students with the right academic atmosphere, guidance and mentorship.

Prominent members of the newly installed student council Anum Rafiq, Maha Khan and Masham Sheraz thanked the leadership and urged the students to learn from their seniors whilegiving them due respect. Ali Kaif, the dynamic head boy of the council, asked the students to uphold the legacy of TMUC while chanting his favorite slogan ‘Once a Millennial always a Millennial.’ 

To the audience’s delight, towards the end of the ceremony, a TMUC student gave a scintillating instrumental performance on the Rubab.
