LAKKI MARWAT: Provincial Revenue Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday said that young people were the pioneers of change and they should play a role in implementing the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to make the dream of new Pakistan come true.

This he said while speaking at a convention organised by the Insaf Students Federation at the Town Hall building in Lakki city. MNA Col (retd) Amirullah Marwat, MPA Deena Naz, District Naib Nazim Arab Khan and others spoke on the occasion.

Tehsil councillors Asfandyar Khan and Malik Ihsanullah Khan were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Ali Amin Gandapur said the real change had been brought about in the province by introducing reforms.

“Now the policemen are people friendly and revenue employees especially patwaris cannot dare to receive gratifications,” he maintained. He said that public sector organisations were delivering better services. He added that government employees had changed their attitude towards people.

Announcing the establishment of sports ground in Lakki Marwat, the minister said that initiatives taken by provincial government improved attendance of teachers at schools and doctors at hospitals.

The minister said that the uplift schemes would put the hitherto underdeveloped Lakki Marwat district on the track to progress. He said the reform agenda of PTI-led government would improve service delivery mechanism and enable the people to get basic amenities at their doorsteps.

Later, the participants of the convention took out a rally from the Town Hall building to protest the federal government’s decisions including privatisation of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and increase in gas and electricity tariff.
