Millennials celebrate and focus on entrepreneurship

The Millennium University College (TMUC) began the celebration of its third Millennial Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015 with panel discussions gathering a number of entrepreneurs and achievers from the country's socio-economic spheres, says a press release.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of the innovators and job creators, who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.
TMUC is a provider of transnational education; which has collaborative arrangements with renowned foreign institutions with professional and higher education portfolios.
The TMUC Dean of Academics Safia Farooqui, Head of International Programmes Kholah Malik and enthusiastic students from various local institutions, attended the panel discussions. The first panel ‘Youth and Women Empowerment – The Success Stories,’ was focused on acknowledging, celebrating and sharing the achievements of those belonging to the marginalised segments of the societies. The panel was moderated by Dr. Musstanser Tinauli, the originator founder Fori Mazdoori.
Young achievers from various walks of life, including Hira B. R. (strategist and co-founder She’kab), Ali Fateh (founder, Fanning the Passion), Ibraheem Ahmed (CEO of GOAL), Hajra Khan (National women’s football team captain), Atif Siddique (COO of Sabro), shared their inspirational journey to success with the students followed by a question answer session.
The second panel moderated by the award winning television anchor Shabnam Riaz, was on ‘Insight into Social Entrepreneurship and Activism.’ Panelists who discussed the theme in both national and global context include Amna Mawaz Khan (social activist), Musstanser Tinauli (founder of Fori Mazdoori), Aqsa Khan (women’s rights activist), Saad Hamid (Invest 2 Innovate), Nadine Murtaza (founder – Dheeray Bol).
The evening came to a close with the TMUC Dean awarding shields to the moderators and the panelists followed by the guests discussing informally with the students over refreshments.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week is another milestone that furthers the Millennium University College mission and commitment to developing the right set of skills, attitudes, knowledge and values within graduating Millennials so that they can confidently meet the global challenges of the 21st century. Giving the youth of Pakistan an opportunity to compete with the global economy and providing value added education those open doors for them globally.
