Educational institutions ordered to follow security SOPs

PESHAWAR: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar on Thursday issued directions to educational institutions to strictly implement the Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) regarding security measures for protection of the institutions before summer vacations.

The CCPO Peshawar Mubarak Zeb visited various government and private educational institutions in the city to check the security measures of the schools and colleges.

As per the official communiqué, the CCPO due to the threats to the institutions informed the heads of the educational institutions to adopt strict security measures and implement the SOPs prepared for security of educational institutions.

The CCOP warned strict action against the heads of the institutions if found violating the SOPs.

Due to security threats, it said, the CCPO also issued directions to all the police officers including senior superintendent of police (SSP), superintendent of police (SPs), sub- divisional police officers (SDPOs), and all Station House Officers (SHOs) of the city to join their duties early in the morning at
4 am.

The CCPO will conduct surprise visits to the offices and police stations to check the presence of police officers, it added.
