Turkish envoy visits PU

Turkish Consul General in Karachi and Emre Institute Turkey Vice-President Dr Saban Cobanoglu visited Punjab University (PU) and met Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran at his office here on Thursday. 

Both discussed various issues of mutual interest and stressed the need to enhance academic collaboration. PU Law College Principal Dr Shazia Naureen Qureshi, Director External Linkages Dr Maria Maldonado and other officials were also present.

Meanwhile, PU Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAGS) Assistant Professor Dr Hafiz Azhar Ali Khan has been selected for “Best Research Paper Award 2013-14” by the Higher Education Commission. The HEC has announced a certificate and cash prize of Rs70,000 for Dr Azhar. IAGS Director Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Haider has appreciated the efforts of the young scientist and presented him a shield.
