LDA plots
We, the affectees of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Avenue-1, submit that we were allotted plots in the scheme in 2002-03. In 2004, we were informed that our plots were located on a piece of land which was under some kind of litigation. In spite of the fact that our plots were under litigation, we were asked to pay the remaining instalments towards the cost of land and accordingly these were paid.
Despite the lapse of 14 years, the LDA still expresses helplessness by saying that the matter is sub judice and it cannot do anything. This is grave injustice. The issue can be resolved if the affectees are allotted plots in open spaces in the LDA-Ave-1 and the land which is under litigation be developed into open spaces after getting court decrees in favour of its vacation. The Punjab chief minister is requested to direct the LDA to give possession letters to the affectees at the earliest.
