Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh has said Tevta has planned to set up vocational training centers at 30 seminaries.
Chairing a meeting on Monday, he said 14,000 students of 31 selected seminaries (Deeni Madaris) across Punjab had been imparted technical skills, adding mostly pass-outs youth had now become financially independent through self-employment or while doing businesses.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said a new lot of 10,000 students of Deeni Madaris would be given vocational training in short courses while offering four trades in addition to their religious education. He added the purpose to offer short courses at Deeni Madaris was to empower the youth engaged in religious education in employable skills.
