Additional charge

JHANG: On the directions of the Punjab governor, the Punjab Higher Education Department Wednesday gave additional charge of the University of Jhang vice-chancellor to Government College University Faisalabad Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali.
According to the notification, the additional charge has been entrusted for six months to start the academic programmes and for constitution of Syndicate and Selection Board of the University of Jhang.

JHANG: Like other cities, International Firefighters’ Day was observed in the district on Wednesday. The Rescue-1122, with the collaboration of TMA arranged a function in the TMA hall to pay tribute to services of firefighters. Addressing the function, District Emergency Officer Dr Tariq Saeed said firefighters deserve proper respect and acknowledgement because they put their lives in danger to save lives and properties of others. He said students, teachers, volunteers and social activists have been provided basic training how to control fire and save lives during fire misshapes through community awareness programmes of the Punjab Emergency Services.
