LAHORE: The nuclear and missile programmes have made the defence system of Pakistan stronger and unbeatable.
These views were expressed by the famous atomic scientist, Dr Samar Mubarakmand, while addressing a seminar on leadership at the University of Engineering and Technology here. He said that successful atomic experiments had been done for the sake of Pakistan’s solidarity which challenged the so-called supremacy of the enemy in the region.
He said that Pakistani scientists, specifically UET graduates, had served in the nuclear and missile programmes which showed their extreme patriotism. Dr Samar Mubarakmand said that progress of nations depended on the intellectuals who played a key role in the development of their country. The Vice Chancellor of the UET, Prof. Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, said self-reliance was the key to maintain solidarity and autonomy of the country.
