Killer gets imprisonment, fine

TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra Additional District and Sessions Judge Arif Mahmood Niazi on Monday awarded life imprisonment and Rs 100,000 fine to a man in a murder case.
According to prosecution, Imran Masih had murdered Qaisar Masih over a minor dispute on the Easter at Chak 424/JB eight years ago.
MOCK-EXERCISE: A mock-exercise was conducted to meet emergency situation in case of flood at Gogera Branch Canal near Bhaghat on Monday.
Different departments including Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, Health, Social Welfare and Agriculture participated in the mock-exercise. DCO Amir Ijaz Akbar, District Emergency Officer Mian Faraz Munir, AC Muhammad Shafiq and others were also present.
