Compulsory retirement of revenue officers ordered

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Azmat Mehmood on the reports of Inquiry Committee against illegal mutation of land case ordered compulsory retirement of former Naib Tehsildar (Rawalpindi) Muhammad Khalid Kamal and Patwari Halqa Gheela Kalan, Mouza Dani Gujran, Tehsil Rawalpindi Qazi Mumtaz Ahmed while proceeding under Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountably Act 2006 (PEEDA) here in Rawalpindi.

In another enquiry findings two years previous service of two ex-naib tehsildars of Malikwal Tehsi,l Mandi Bahaudin, Raja Ashfaq Ahmed and Syed Abid Abbas forfeited on misappropriation and embezzlement of mutation fee of Rs334,000.  

According to the details, Assistant Commissioner (City) was appointed Inquiry Officer in the case in which Ex Naib Tehsidar Rawalpindi Muhammad Khalid Kamal in connivance with Patwari Mumtaz Ahmed misused his powers and illegal conducted mutation of land which was probed by the inquiry committee and charges framed against them were proved. 

Notices of personal hearing were issued and they failed to produce any tangible evidence in their favour.  Similarly, two ex naib tehsildars of Malikwal Tehsil in Mandi Bahaudin named Raja Ashfaq Ahmed and Syed Abid Abbas misappropriated mutation fee of Rs334,000. Assistant Commissioner Jhelum conducted Inquiry against both revenue officers and they were found guilty. Commissioner Rawa-lpindi Azmat Mehmood on the report of Inquiry Office, ordered forfeiting of previous two years’ service of ex naib tehsildars of Malikwal.
