Rs304.7m approved for Burewala Ring Road

BUREWALA

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved Rs 304.782 million funds for construction of Shahbaz Sharif Ring Road on both sides of the canal here, The News has learnt.

The construction would be completed under the Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project.

Earlier, PML-N MNA Ch Nazir Ahmad Arain and MPA Irshad Ahmad Arain had recommended the construction of Shahbaz Sharif Ring Road along with streetlights starting from Muhammadnagar to Luddan Road in Burewala city.

The funds for the project were approved in the PPDWP 35th meeting. The project would help reducing traffic mess on the city roads.

MAN DEPRIVED OF VALUABLES: A man was robbed of cash and a mobile phone at Chak 140/ on Thursday night.

Muhammad Jameel Gujjar was en route to his village when three robbers intercepted him and snatched Rs 25,000 and a mobile phone from him.

APPROVED: PML-N MNA Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad Artain and MPA Chaudhry Irshad Ahmad Arain Friday approved the names of Muhammad Ashiq Arain and Iftikhar Ahmad Bhatti for the slots of chairmanship and vice chairmanship of Municipal Committee Burewala.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders and workers lauded the decision of the party’s leadership.
