High-achievers honoured at H-8 college

Islamabad

In order to appreciate the outstanding students of
the year, the annual prize distribution ceremony of
Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, Sector H-8,
was held here on Thursday. 

Director General Federal Directorate of Education Dr. Shehnaz A Riaz was the chief guest. 

Faculty members were also awarded for their best performances. The ceremony began with the recitation of Holy Quran followed by Na’at. 

It was an absolute colourful impression of fun and excitement. Students were really hilarious. 

Professor Muhammad Tahir Bhutti, Head of Sports Department, in his speech highlighted the eminent performance of the students in various sports events. He told the audience that H-8 college made a historical record by winning 10 positions including 5 gold medals in various sports events under Quid-i-Azam University intercollegiate championship.

Director General Shehnaz A Riaz appreciated the confidence and superb performance of the students, which was indication of hope and bright future of the nation. Earlier, the principal of the college, Professor Khurshid Ahmed Shakoori in his address said that the curricular and extra-activities in the college focused on personality development of students to make them confident, dynamic and successful individuals. 

In the end, the chief guest distributed shields and certificates among the students who excelled in various sports events.

gave shields to teaching
and non-teaching staff
of the college for their significantly contributed towards the progress of the college.
