PM has set unique precedent of self-accountability: Kh Asif

Says govt has brought down graph of corruption;
loadshedding has decreased considerably

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has set a unique precedent of self-accountability by announcing the establishment of a judicial commission.

Talking to newsmen at the PML-N House here on Sunday, he said that it was for the first time in the country that a prime minister had come forward for his accountability. He said the PML-N government took a good and prudent decision of writing a letter to the Supreme Court for early establishment of a judicial commission.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that some political elements rejected earlier by people due to the Dharna politics were trying to get personal political gains from the Panama Leaks issue with negative propaganda against the government.

After coming to power, the government had brought down the graph of corruption to a great extent and this marvelous achievement was being hailed at the international level, he added. He said that there was zero loadshedding of electricity in the industrial sector and it was also getting full supply of gas.

He said that it was a great achievement of the PML-N government and asked the media to highlight different achievements of the government. He said loadshedding had been reduced considerably because of the steps taken by the government. He said the CNG stations were being provided gas seven days a week. He said that gas to CNG stations had also been restored to its full capacity after 10 years.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif held an open court at the PML-N House here. He listened to the problems of the people, besides issuing orders on various applications for an urgent compliance to provide early relief to the applicants.Earlier, the minister inaugurated a sewerage project at Rangpura and said that it would be completed by the end of June.
