Demand for Hazara province renewed
MANSEHRA: The Mansehra Tehsil Council through a unanimously adopted resolution has asked the federal and provincial governments to declare Hazara division a province. The session, which was chaired by Convener Mohsin Ali, adopted the Hazara province resolution. All the councillors supported it.
The councillors belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan People’s Party boycotted the proceedings of the council, alleging that development funds were not equally distributed among the councilors.
“We have not been given as much funds as given to the treasury councillor. It is not acceptable to us,” an opposition councillor said while leaving the Tehsil Council. The women councillors also demanded equal developmental funds, saying that the honorarium fixed by government was not acceptable to them.
