National internship

The Prime Minister’s National Internship Programme (NIP) has materialised with issuance of letters interns from the NIP office. But it is very sad to note that the monthly remuneration is Rs12,000 – as it was during Musharraf’s era when the dollar was worth Rs59.

Unfortunately, the letter neither bears the address nor does it indicate the telephone number of the officer concerned as per official norms and etiquettes. It is time the remuneration was fixed at Rs20,000 and the NIP office run by experienced officers.
