Rescuers pass out

A passing-out of 443 rescuers from Khyber Pakhtunkhaw and Punjab was held at the Emergency Services Academy on Saturday.

Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was the chief guest while Director General Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122), Dr. Asad Ali Khan, was the guest of honour. The ceremony was also attended by Director General Punjab Emergency Service, Brig. (R) Arshad Zia, Director General Emergency Services Academy, Brig. (R) Amir Hamza, and a large number of rescuers, their parents and friends.

As per details, 319 rescuers from Khyber Pakhtunkhaw and 124 from Punjab completed their professional training. The passed out cadets demonstrated their professional skills of emergency management during mock exercises. 

Man dies: A 35-year-old who was found in an unconscious condition few days ago in Shafiqabad police limits died in hospital on Saturday. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy.

He was identified as Azeem, a resident of Sargodha. Police said that a passerby had informed them about the victim in an unconscious condition near Minar-i-Pakistan.
