Our conundrum
By our correspondents
April 08, 2016
Our state and Shariah are emphatic on two key points – equality and justice. Unfortunately, many of our people are a single step away from the edge of a cliff where Mumtaz Qadri was standing. The prescription for this malady is to deter and denounce preachers, brain-washers and terrorist financiers who try to sell faith and make it a saleable commodity.
Pakistan seems to be at a crossroads – to be subdued by religious zealots or taken over by progressive moderates. It cannot remain indifferent and oblivious to this conundrum.
