Pakistan beat Canada comfortably

KARACHI: Pakistan recorded a convincing 3-1 triumph against Canada in their opening match of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia, on Wednesday.

Mohammad Qadir scored two goals to put Pakistan 2-0 up, but Richard Holdreth struck to make it 2-1.

Mohammad Tousiq converted a penalty corner and gave Pakistan a 3-1 lead which they maintained till the referee blew the final whistle.

The other teams in the tournament are hosts Malaysia, Australia, Japan, India and New Zealand.
