LAHORE: Two robbers deprived The News staffer Amir Riaz of his brand new bike, wallet and cell phone on Fane Road in the Mozang police limits on Saturday night.
Amir was on his was home from office and he had just hit the Fane Road when two robbers intercepted him at gunpoint and rode off with the new bike and valuables. Police have started investigation.
In another incident, robbers took away Rs 1.7 million in cash from the warehouse of Farhan in the Ghalib Market police limits on Saturday. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Area police have failed to recover valuables worth Rs 600,000 robbed from a family even after the lapse of two weeks.The family of Haji Rehmat Ali, a resident of House NO 74, Township, was deprived of cash, gold ornaments and valuables outside their house by four robbers. Police registered the FIR 217/18 under Section 392 of PPC. However, no recovery or arrests could be made so far. The victim has appealed to police high ups to recover the valuables.
