JHANG: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Sheikh Naeem Wednesday directed the Kotwali police SHO to take action against a constable of the district jail on charges of injuring a prisoner. Muhammad Iqbal submitted to the court stating that his nephew Sultan was in the jail in a narcotics case and he quarreled with another prisoner, who was a relative of the jail's constable Nadeem. The constable along with his two colleagues tortured his nephew, he stated. The court ordered the SHO to record the statement of the petitioner.
