ANP concerned over devaluation of rupee
PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilour has expressed concern over the devaluation of rupees against dollars.
Through a statement issued here on Tuesday, the ANP leader said that another wave of price-hike was inevitable due to the inefficiency of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government. Ghulam Ahmed Bilour alleged that the government wanted to punish the masses in the wake of the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif. He said that the devaluation of rupee would raise the prices of raw material that would affect industrial production in the country.
The government’s flawed economic and financial policies were crippling the national economy, he said, alleging that powerful elements were behind the disappearance of dollar from market.
The casino-economy was not in the interest of the country and demanded immediate action against the people involved in the flight of dollars from the market, he added.
