According to NAB sources, Akhtar was arrested in Islamabad and is being brought to Lahore. He was summoned to the NAB office where he was taken into custody.

It is pertinent to mention here that Saeed Akhtar has been appointed GM Railways thrice.

I find this incomprehensible. Even in a highly corrupt society such as Pakistan that appears to be beyond redemption, no one could be appointed "thrice" to the same post especially if he or she was under special scrutiny. Everywhere I've travelled on the system, I've heard nothing but good praise about Mr. Saeed Akhtar. What about that minister whose shenanigans are well known? Is NAB being selective?

finally, the innocent are again under attack. What a shame that a person who has been serving the nation wholeheartedly has been arrested for baseless charges. i am sure Rana Saeed Akhtar is innocent. he can never be involved in corruption.

This is just the tip of the ice-berg and a mere window dressing. Why was Bilour not arrested considering that he has been the minister for Railways for almost a decade and a half at different times? Corruption can not exist without an accommodating bureaucracy. Pakistan Railways has been scammed out of US$ 12bn over the last 15 years. Who is parking that money? See Bilour family's offshore accounts.
