ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) during hearing of a case against former Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Chaudhry Abdul Rashid directed that he should neither be arrested nor any action taken against him till further notice.Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi of the IHC heard the case on Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) during hearing of a case against former Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Chaudhry Abdul Rashid directed that he should neither be arrested nor any action taken against him till further notice.Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi of the IHC heard the case on Tuesday and asked the DG FIA to personally appear at the next hearing on August 25.During the hearing, the counsel for Ch Rashid said that his client was restored three times by the court but the government continued to accuse him of illegal recruitments. He said the FIR registered against the former Pemra chairman was illegal.At this, the court ordered that Ch Rashid should not be arrested and adjourned the hearing.
