ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner to Pakistan Philip Barton on Tuesday called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and sought more cooperation from Pakistan in connection with the Dr Imran Farooq murder case.

Chaudhry Nisar also showed a video statement of prime suspect, Moazzam Ali, in the case to Mr. Barton.Moazzam Ali was arrested by the Sindh Rangers during a raid a couple of days ago. The government had termed his arrest a major breakthrough in the high-profile murder case.
The two leaders also discussed the statement of the prime suspect and its implications for the case. The British HC assured Nisar that once convicted, the accused will get stern punishment. It is pertinent to note that on Monday Nisar announced the arrest of Moazzam Ali, who the law enforcers believe is the central character of the case.
He had facilitated two other suspected hitmen to travel to the UK on student visas and getting enrolled there.
