Decisions being taken by judiciary: Khursheed
ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said that decision which should be made in Parliament were being done by judiciary as it was making important decisions for the country, but it was not appropriate for institutions to cross their limits.
He said that supremacy of Parliament should be ensured and all institutions should perform their duties within their constitutional domain.
He said it was not a good omen that the judiciary started performing functions of the executive. “The judges are now giving orders as to what should, and should not, happen in Sindh,” he said.
Initiating debate on the Presidential address to Parliament, Syed Khursheed Shah came harsh on the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi-led government for not addressing real issues being faced by the country and its people “When the prime minister is now aware of what is happening in the country, he has no right to be the head of government,” he said.
