KARACHI: Seven Rangers personnel sustained injuries when a remote controlled bomb blast targeted their vehicle in Landhi no.89 Thursday morning, Geo News reported.
According to police, seven Rangers men were injured when a blast occurred in Landi no.89 area of Karachi. Police told that the explosives were fixed in a roadside motorcycle and went off when Rangers vehicle carrying ten personnel was passing through the Timber Market area.
As a result of explosion, seven troops sustained injuries who were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment. Hospital sources told that two Rangers men are in critical condition.
Police have cordoned off the blast site for security reasons and started investigation.
It may be mentioned that Rangers are currently taking part in a joint operation with police in Karachi aimed at cleansing the city of terrorists and other hardcore criminals including hired killers, gun runners and drug peddlers.
