KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Deputy Secretary General Imran Ismail praised astonishing turnout in Karachi to support PTI.
"The people have verified that they are longing for a real change. The results could have been an indication of 'Naya Karachi' to prop-up 'Naya Pakistan' in case of free and fair elections," he said while talking to journalists at PTI Central media Cell Karachi.
Ismail said, "Through the number of casted votes in NA-250, NA-251, NA-252, NA-253 and NA-256, people of Karachi have proved that they consider PTI as the only party that can bring about a real change."
He commended the enthusiasm of PTI devotees who stood in line for hours and casted vote but the mandate was stolen through bogus votes.
In response to a question, he said, "Subhan Ali Sahil succeeded with distinction from NA-239 Keyamari Town but, after 42 hours, his defeat was reported with a difference of around 4000 votes. He told that the PTI is to challenge the election results in courts and he demanded re-elections in Karachi under supervision of Pakistan Army.
Meanwhile, PTI Vice President Saifur Rehman said that whole world witnessed election rigging in Karachi. He said that free and fair elections under supervision of Pakistan Army would certify PTI as the most favorite political party in Karachi as well.
