LAHORE: Ahmad Kamil, Hamid Israr, Faizan Fayyaz and Hasheesh Kumar made it to the semifinals of men’s under-18 age category of the Servis Tyres National Junior Tennis Championship here at the Bagh-i-Jinnah Courts on Friday.
Apart from the men’s singles quarterfinals, pre quarterfinal matches in under14, under12, doubles, seniors and ladies were contested. Similarly in U-14, Hamid Israr, Mohammad Mahatir and Hamza Jawad, in U-12, Abubakar Talha, Haider Ali Rizwan, Asad, Husnain Ali Rizwan, in under14 doubles, Hamid israr/Huzaima Abdul Rehman, in seniors doubles, Nauman/Yousaf and in girls U-18, Shimza Durab and Rahat Javeed were the winners of their matches.
Results: U-18 quarter-finals: Ahmad Kamil beat Ahmad Nael 6-1, 6-2, Hamid Israr beat Huzaima Abdul Rehman 6-1, 6-1, Faizan Fayyaz beat Hamza Jawad 6-0, 6-2, Hasheesh Kumar beat Bilal Asim (SICAS) 6-2, 6-3.
Results of U-14 prequarterfinals: Hamid Israr beat Waleed Javeed 4-0, 4-1, Mohammad Mahatir beat Husnain Ali Rizwan 4-2, 4-0, Hamza Jawad beat Ghazi Ahmad 4-1, 4-0.
Result of U-12 quarters final: Abubakar Talha beat Zeerak Mustafa 4-0, 4-1, Haider Ali Rizwan beat Hania Minhas 4-1, 4-0, Asad beat Ali Jawad 4-0, 4-2, Hussnain Ali Rizwan beat Hamza Ali Rizwan 2-4, 4-1, 4-0.
