ABBOTTABAD: The People’s Doctors Forum (PDF), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, has rejected the provincial government’s decision to ban unions of employees in hospitals of the province.
Spokesman for the PDF Dr Daud Iqbal told reporters that the forum in its meeting chaired by Prof Dr Nisar Khan had decided to raise voice against the undemocratic step of the government.
He said that unions were playing an important role in resolving issues being confronted by the employees in hospitals.
The spokesman said that organisations of doctors were not only working for finding solution to problems of medics but also arranging medical camps for poor patients, helping patients in blood donations and providing free medicines to poor and deserving patients. Dr Daud Iqbal said that they would take up the matter with the Health Department.
