KARAK: The district government on Wednesday
presented its maiden budget for 2015-2016 in the district council with the total outlay of Rs3.59 billion.
The district budget was presented by District Nazim Dr Umar Daraz Khattak.
District Naib Nazim Sajjad Khan presided over the budget session.
Presenting the annual budget, District Nazim Dr Umar Daraz said that Rs170 million had been earmarked for the development of the district.
He added the remaining funds would be use for non-developmental activities.
The funds would be to spend in a transparency to put the district on the path to progress, he maintained.
The district nazim resolved to work as a team to bring the district on par with other districts in the province.
He vowed to provide gas, electricity and drink-
ing water facility to the every nook and corner of the district.
Our correspondent in Lakki Marwat adds: The Lakki Marwat District Council unanimously approved the annual non-developmental budget for the fiscal year 2015-16 on Wednesday.
The budget session was presided over by district naib nazim Arab Khan. Noted among the participants were district finance officer, Khalid Mehmood, budget officer, Rizwanullah Khan and heads of line departments.
Presenting the annual budget district nazim Ishfaq Ahmad Khan Meenakhel said that the total outlay of the no developmental expenditures was Rs 3.6billion. “Of it Rs 3.4billion will go for the salaries of 9603 government employees while Rs 256 million will be provided to the line departments under non salary head,” he maintained.
