LANDIKOTAL: Pro-government peace committee, Tauheedul Islam, killed three persons allegedly involved in planting a bomb to kill local the committee members in Zakhakhel area of Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency, sources said on Monday.
They said that members of the Tauheedul Islam committee, which is also called Zakhakhel Amn Committee, had captured three persons, said to be from the Khasrogi sub-tribe of the Zakhakel a few days ago.
According to local residents, the arrested persons were shot dead after they were accused of being involved in actions against the committee.
It was said that men were arrested when they were planting a roadside bomb in Zakhakhel area to target the peace committee volunteers. However, the names of deceased could not be ascertained till filling to this report.
They said that members of the Tauheedul Islam committee, which is also called Zakhakhel Amn Committee, had captured three persons, said to be from the Khasrogi sub-tribe of the Zakhakel a few days ago.
