PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Thursday said that the people were satisfied with the performance of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
Talking to reporters after a live question and answer session at a radio programme here, the chief minister said that the people from middle and lower middle class were satisfied with his government’s performance.
“They have felt a clear difference between the present and previous governments which is a source of satisfaction for all of us,” he added. Pervez Khattak said that the change could not be felt by those living a luxurious life in their palaces as they were unable to feel the miseries of the poor.
He said that the people who had amassed black money were feeling uneasy due to the transparent system introduced by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government. “Such elements were criticizing the government for this very reason,” he maintained.
He, however, said that his government gave importance and value to the opinion of common citizens and considered their views as a true feedback. Earlier, responding to live calls at the radio programme, Pervez Khattak said that change was the only agenda of his government and measures for good governance, reforms, legislation, transparency, institutional strengthening and stability, autonomy, devolution of powers, public-private partnership had brought positive results. He said that issues of encroachments, corruption, smuggling and inefficient administration had been resolved by such measures.
