PESHAWAR: During a search operation under the National Action Plan, the Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa Police arrested 649 suspects and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition all over the province on Tuesday. During the operation, 465 houses and 239 hotels were checked and six cases were registered against the violators

PESHAWAR: During a search operation under the National Action Plan, the Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa Police arrested 649 suspects and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition all over the province on Tuesday.
During the operation, 465 houses and 239 hotels were checked and six cases were registered against the violators for not following the laws. During snap checking at 187 checkpoints, 400 suspects were held and 23 arms of different kinds and 512 cartridges of different bores were also recovered. About 51 illegally residing Afghans were also detained and 27 cases were registered against them.
Seven suspects held in Bannu: The police arrested seven suspected persons and seized 11 Kalashnikovs, three repeaters, four pistols and several cartridges from them during a search operation in Bakkakhel area in FR Bannu on Tuesday, police said.
