PESHAWAR: The Basic Education Community Schools (BECS) organised a speech and poetry contest among the students of community schools of tribal areas.
The students of BECS from Kurram, Mohmand, Khyber and Bajaur agencies participated in the contest held at the University Town on Wednesday.In the Naat competition Wisal Khan from Bajaur Agency, Tanzil Ahmed of Mohmand Agency and Amaara Afridi of Khyber Agency received first, second and third prizes, respectively.
Tajjamul Hussain hailing from Kurram Agency got first position, Ummama from Khyber Agency got second and Ayesha from Mohmand Agency was awarded third prize in the poetry competition.
Owais Afridi from Khyber Agency was declared first, Zabinullah from Bajaur Agency got second and Wajahat from Mohmand Agency was awarded third prize in the speech contest.The other students, who took part in the competition, were also awarded medals.The teachers of the BECS, including Amir Khusro and Tariq Hussain, were also awarded shields for performance.
