TIMERGARA: Following the directives of the provincial government, an official of the district administration inspected two militancy-hit schools in Maidan area in Lower Dir district.
Taking a serious notice of the media reports about the exam-taking students in two schools in Bandai village in a rainy day, the provincial education authorities directed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lower Dir district, Sohail Khan, to inspect the miserable condition of the schools.
He along with other officials visited the Bandai village and inspected the government primary and government high schools, which were destroyed by the militants in 2009, and around 1,300 students were forced to get education in hujras and mosques.
Thanking the media for highlighting the issue, the deputy commissioner said that the priority of the government would be to complete the reconstruction of the buildings of the schools destroyed in militancy.
