Accident in workplace kills labourer

MARDAN: A labourer died and two others sustained injuries during construction work on Garden Campus of the Abdul Wali Khan University in Sheikh Maltoon Town, the police and university administration said on Saturday.
A university spokesman said the labourers were busy in construction work on a water tank in the garden campus when a roof collapsed. As a result, a labourer identified as Rafiq died on the spot while two others named Zubair and Haji Mohammad were seriously injured.
The injured were taken to Mardan Medical Complex where their condition was said to be stable.
