IIU opens three new female hostel blocks

The International Islamic University (IIU) has opened three new female hostel blocks on main campus.
With the addition of 465 new rooms of three blocks, university will now accommodate more than 1,300 new female students on the campus.
The new hostel blocks with common hall, prayer hall and kitchenettes etc have all other facilities.
The blocks were inaugurated by Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turkey, the general secretary of Muslim World League and the president of Islamic Universities League, during a special ceremony.
Dr. Muhammad bin Saad Al-Dousri, Director Maktaba tu Dawah Islamabad, Dr.Muhammad Abduho Ateen, Director General Rabta Aalam-e-Islami Islamabad, Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI and other high officials of university were also in attendance.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Turki said Islamic University was contributing remarkable and valuable services for Ummah and that its graduates were precious assets of Muslim World.
He said university students and researchers could help address the issue of Muslims being labelling as extremists and terrorists.
Dr. Al-Turki emphasised the scholars and intellectuals to contribute in eradication of attitude of violence and extremism.
He assured full cooperation from Muslim World League to complete educational projects.
During the ceremony, Dr. Masoom Yasin said the university focused on promoting peace and harmony among students, while its curriculum was highly integrated with tenets of Islam.
“The university presents fine example of brotherhood and unity as student of 40 nations study here,” he said.
The rector said the IIU discouraged attitude of extremism and hatred which was one of its fundamental responsibilities.
IIU president Dr. Al-Draiweesh said the university adorned with symbols of moderation and brotherhood of Islam; its academics programmes were highly integrated with teachings of Islam.
He said the university particularly focused on character building along with modern education.
The IIU president thanked the government of Pakistan for support and cooperation in the construction of the hostel. He also appealed to the World Muslim League to gift a grand mosque to the IIU.
