The Life Sciences' Society of Pakistan in collaboration with Nobel Science & Research Centre, Turkey, Isra University and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan organised international conference on Life Sciences at Al-Nafees Medical College here, says a press release.
A large number of participants from all over the Pakistan and delegates from China, USA, and Hungary attended the conference.
The chief guest of the conference was Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, chairman, Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF). While addressing the session he said that such conference are needed for knowledge sharing and collaboration. He stressed the need an applied sciences to uplift the knowledge based economy of the country.
Professor Dr. Umar Ali Khan Pro-Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences) of Isra University also addressed the session he also motivated the participants to go forward for Research & Development (R&D) activities in the country. The conference continued for three days several renowned speakers and researcher addressed including Professor Dr. M Nawaz, Professor Dr. Zasta Khan, Professor Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Professor Dr. Anwar Gillanian and Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar.
The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Executive Director of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan Professor Dr. Raza Bhatti. While addressing the session he said that HEC is promoting research & development activities within the country and eager to develop linkages abroad and he also appreciated Dr. Zahid Iqbal for organising such a wonderful event. Professor Dr. Altaf A. G Shiekh, PVC of Isra University also the addressed the session. The conference ended with vote of thanks by the chief organiser.
