A meeting of Punjab University’s Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) was held here on Wednesday which approved 14 PhD synopses, seven evaluation reports and one panel of examiners.
The meeting chaired by Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran also approved six extension cases and five miscellaneous cases.
Prof Dr Ismatullah Zahid, Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, Prof Dr Shahid Kamal, Prof Dr Mobashar Ahmad Butt, Prof Dr Zakria Zakir, Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chawla, Prof Dr Hassan Mobin Alam, Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan, Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhter, Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Qazi, Prof Dr Tahira Basharat, Prof Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Prof Dr Moeen-ud-din-Nizami, Acting Chairperson DPCC Prof Dr Anjum Nasim Sabri, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Registrar Prof Dr Liaqat Ali and Additional Registrar Dr Kamran Abid attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the PU Examinations Department has declared the results of BBA (Hons) 1st year annual examination 2014.

Unity prayers: The religious scholars from all schools of thought, politicians, academicians, senior journalists, traders, government officers, members of civil society and people from various shades of life offered Zohar prayers at Punjab University (PU) Jamia Mosque on Wednesday to exhibit unity and religious harmony among all the ranks of Muslims.
The prayers were especially organised in collaboration with a local TV channel and Punjab University. Maulana Fazal Raheem of Jamia Ashrafia was the Imam of Zohar prayers.
