Proper documentation is being ensured for registration of faithful who will observe 10-day ‘Aitekaf’ in different mosques of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The step has been taken by the management of various masques for safety of the faithful who would start observing ‘Aitekaf’ from Wednesday in order to seek blessings of Allah Almighty and fulfilling Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
Talking to APP Monday, Media Coordinator Dawat-e-Islami Islamabad, informed that 120 people are already in 30-day ‘Aitekaf’ for the sacred month of Ramazan in Faizan-e-Madina Mosque G-11 Markaz.
He said the number of Moatakifeen (Aitekaf observers) would touch the figure of 500 before the start of last decade of the holy month. In addition, as many as 1,650 faithful would observe ‘Aitekaf’ at Faisal Mosque this year.
During ‘Aitekaf’, the faithful would be given lectures by religious scholars about the tenets of Islam. The arrangements have also been made for their ‘Sehr’ and ‘Iftar’. According to an officer of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration, adequate security arrangements have been made for the faithful during the Aitkaf.
