Islamabad: The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has planned to engage parliamentarians for monitoring the federal capital’s educational system.
The CADD oversees Islamabad’s more than 400 government schools through the Federal Directorate of Education and 1,000 local private schools through the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority.
A relevant CADD official told this scribe that work of the formation of an education task force comprising lawmakers, mostly locals, was underway and that it would be in place shortly.
He said the aim of forming the task force was to keep an eye on patient care at health facilities and suggest ways to improve it along modern lines.
The official said one such panel was already functioning to help the Ministry of Health Services and Coordination improve healthcare in the capital city.
