Workshop for editors of social science journals

Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) organised a one-day workshop for editors of recognised journals in Social Sciences.
Editors of all HEC recognised journals in Social Sciences from Rawalpindi and Islamabad region attended the workshop and lauded efforts for improvement of quality in Social Sciences journals. The main areas covered during the workshop included enhancing publication standard, knowledge about impact factor and its importance, ethics in publications and plagiarism.
Director General (Academics) Fida Hussain briefed them about HEC’s policy on Social Sciences journals. Dr. Ahrar Khan of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, was the resource person of the workshop. He appreciated the efforts of Higher Education Commission for improvement of quality in Social Sciences research journals and providing required academic and financial support.
