Islamabad: Brace for another wet spell as the Met Office has forecast showers next week. According to an official of the Met Office, a westerly wave is likely to affect southern parts of the country on Saturday evening and expected to grip the upper parts of the country from Sunday. “There is a likelihood of rainfall in plains and snowfall over hills in the country from next Sunday to Tuesday,” he said.
The official said mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. He, however, forecast rain-thunderstorm at scattered places in Makran, Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas divisions and at isolated paces in north Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions), upper Sindh (Sukkur division), Islamabad, Rawalpindi division, Fata, Peshawar, Malakand divisions and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The official said though weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country, isolated light rain occurred in Zhob division.
