Minister satisfied with security steps at schools

Islamabad: Minister of State for CAD Barrister Usman Ibrahim has expressed satisfaction with security arrangements at government schools and colleges of Islamabad. A detailed report of progress on security measures for schools and colleges was presented to the minister on Wednesday. On his directions, a monitoring team visited those schools

Islamabad: Minister of State for CAD Barrister Usman Ibrahim has expressed satisfaction with security arrangements at government schools and colleges of Islamabad.
A detailed report of progress on security measures for schools and colleges was presented to the minister on Wednesday.
On his directions, a monitoring team visited those schools where security arrangements are being completed on war footing.
Boundary walls of schools and colleges are being raised while barbwires are being fixed over boundary walls. Metal detectors are being purchased to check every person who would enter into school and college. Close circuit TV Cameras are also being installed on case to case basis.
However, hiring of armed security guards will be made in the next phase. Monitoring team of CA&D Division, & FDE has taken photographs of those security arrangements and that have been issued for media today.
Barrister Usman Ibrahim has said that all existing resources are being used, on priority basis for possible maximum security of schools and Colleges. Minister of state has called a follow-up meeting tomorrow (Friday) at Ministry of CAD in which security issues of educational institutions will be further reviewed.
