Inter-Madaris debate contest tomorrow

Arrangements for the All Pakistan Inter-Madaris Debate Contest have been finalised at a high level meeting held here in the Secretariat of Majlis-e-Saut-ul-Islam, Pakistan. The speech contest will be organised on Thursday (January 8), at the Convention Center here, says a press release.
The meeting presided over by Majlis-e-Saut-ul-Islam Chairman Mufti Abu Huraira, reviewed the arrangements for all stages of the event. It also discussed in threadbare the panel of jury and decided to include as many as five well recognised and renowned Ulema as jurists in the panel.
On the occasion, three committees were also constituted to be headed by Mufti Abu Zar Mohaiuddin, Muft Abu Mohaiuddin and Dr. Saad Siddique respectively.
Various ministers, politicians, Islamabad-based diplomats of a number of countries, scholars, Ulema, intellectuals, foreign as well as local journalists and renowned personalities from all segments of the society and a large number of people would attend the speech contest.
It was informed during the high-level meeting that the speech constants have been assigned different topics to speak about in their speeches at the event.
The meeting was also briefed that the first prize money has been fixed at rupees one million, the second prize would be Rs500,000 while the third prize would be Rs250,000.
While addressing on the occasion, Mufti Abu Huraira expressed the satisfaction over the performance of various working committees, constituted to organise the speech contest and said that main purpose of the event specifically is to earn blessing of Allah and highlight at international level the invaluable services of seminaries for the promotion of Islam and Islamic values of love, brotherhood, peace, interfaith harmony and justice.
