To strengthen collaboration on a variety of educational training programmes, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the CDA Training Academy (CTA) and the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) University was signed on Friday, here at the CTA office.
According to a statement issued, the CTA agreed to provide lecture halls for the purpose of training, degree and diploma programmes and development efforts as well.
Sanaullah Aman, executive director general of CTA and Dr. Maria, director and chairperson of SASSI University signed the MoU on behalf of their respected organisations.
Dr. Maria Sultan, while lauding the positive contribution of the CDA Training Academy, said that it was decided by both sides to start specially designed training and diploma courses on leadership, management and strategic communication development, counter terrorism and intelligence from February 1, 2015.
She also congratulated the CTA management for conducting as many as ten training courses successfully in last year, adding that recently-held first international conference on the Emerging Trends in Engineering, Management & Sciences (ICETEMS) in collaboration with City University, Peshawar, was a remarkable achievement.
She announced that a national level energy conference will also be scheduled on 15th of next month in which national and international stake holders on water, electricity and other energy crises were invited to participate. It was further decided to hold international expo on ‘High Tech Skill Development’ in Pak-China Friendship Centre, on 23 March 2015, in which international level companies and departments will take part. "Another international conference will be jointly organised on ‘town planning and security challenges’ on April 10, 2015," she informed.
Dr. Maria was of the view that efforts of the CDA Training Academy for imparting training to its employees were being appreciated by all walks of life in Islamabad.
On the occasion, Sanaullah Aman, also hoped that with the joint efforts of both the parties, the CTA Staff College and Center of Excellence will be established in Pak-China Friendship Center very soon.
