The Lahore High Court on Friday summoned record from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) about status of the post of vice-chairman previously held by Khwaja Hassaan Ahmad, PML-N candidate for Chairman slot from UC-107 (Lahore). Aziz Masood, a voter of the UC, filed the petition through Advocate Sheraz Zaka and said Mr Hassaan had held a public office as LDA vice-chairman and also got involved with Local Government administration by being a director of Lahore Waste Management Company. He said Section 27 of the LG Act 2013 states that a person who is in the service of a statutory body controlled by a provincial government is not eligible to contest elections.
